11/16/08 Outdoor Guys Show Updates
Bill did the show while Pete was "out hunting with his son"...or so he said! Bill, along with Alex, were thinking he was probably snoring. Frontier Freddy called with a partial fishing report and some hunting info. Bill had his son Emil with him, and they talked about opening day of shotgun season. Bill also went over some tips for bringing your deer in for processing with a meat cutter, and also what you need to know about choosing a taxidermist...seeing how he IS one! 10/05/08 Outdoor Guys Show Updates

Bill was in, Pete was out, so OutdoorGirl Anita was in! Pete did call in and join the show by phone though, as did Frontier Fred with his fishing report. Ron Boyce from MDR Outdoor Products called in and talked all about his granulated time release scents for deer. Ron is a good friend of the show. Here's hoping some more good friends call us next Sunday morning, on Sports Radio 1280 WHTK.

09/28/08 Outdoor Guys Show Updates
Pete and Bill talked about the upcoming bear season and it's expanded range, the feel of autumn and the approaching season, whether Bill said shoot or sh*t on the radio, the increasing number of bowhunters nationally and also about lining up a butcher and taxidermist before heading afield for that trophy. 09/21/08 Outdoor Guys Show Updates

The 'Guy were tired from a long day hosting the fishing event at Springdale Farms in Spencerport Saturday. Between getting hooked and poked and worn out, Bill and Pete helped lots of kids catch some bass in the nice pond on the farm. Two of their sons, Dylan and Emil, also helped out. Countdown John and Paul and Frontier Fred helped round out the show with their phone calls. Why not round out our next show by calling the OutdoorGuys at 222-1280 next Sunday morning!
09/14/08 Outdoor Guys Show Updates

Pete and Bill did the usual, took calls, talked to Frontier Freddy and goofed off alot. All that and talked about sports (Red Sox) and the outdoors (gobies, hunting). 09/07/08 Outdoor Guys Show Updates

The OutdoorGuys listened to Frontier Fred discribe how he chased a fishing pole into the water to catch his best trout of the day out at Fisher's. Mike from C and C archery spent some time chatting with the Guys by phone, with caller John joining in discussing broadhead choices and string replacement info. Bill and Pete will be at Springdale Farm's Fall Festival Saturday September 20th to help the kids in attendance catch some bass at the pond. Catch Pete and Bill on the air next Sunday am!
08/31/08 Outdoor Guys Show Updates

This week Bill did the show without vacationing Pete...but hardly alone! Joining him in studio were Frontier Fred, OutdoorGirl Anita, Bill's daughter Veronica and Fred's daughter Victoria. They had plenty to chat about, including the republican VP choice, Alaskan Gov. Palin, a friend of the sportsmen, also Bill on a Lake Ontario charter with some out of state friends, and Fred's explanation of the state's stance on baiting vs food plots. Victoria did the Finger Lakes fish report, and Michael P from Texas called and talked all about the fishing charter, and even a bit about hurricane Gustav. 08/24/08 Outdoor Guys Show Updates
The OutdoorGuys, Pete and Bill, heard from Frontier Fred and his fishing report right up front. The 'Guys talked about a few things they read in magazines, and frequent caller Jeff asked about their thoughts on baiting vs food plots. He also wondered what the state's opinion on that might be. Pete and Bill promised to have more info next week on that topic! Stay tuned...

OutdoorGirl Anita was in the studio with Peter, and Bill was in Syracuse and doing the show via phone. Frontier Fred was home doing the fishing report, and some callers were there too. 07/27/08 Outdoor Guys Show Updates
The OutdoorGuys were short a guy this morning! Pete was on vacation, so Bill took his place. So, Bill invited his friend Chris Rumfola to take his place. And Nate, the guy at the boards, stepped aside and Alex took his place! So, once the musical chairs was done, Frontier Fred and OutdoorGirl Anita called. From there, Bill and Chris pretty much talked about hunting camp in the southern tier near Bath, and also some good old Rumfola family experiences getting ready for the hunting season. 07/20/08 Outdoor Guys Show Updates

The OutdoorGuys did the usual with Frontier Fred and his Finger Lakes fishing report and OutdoorGirl Anita talked more about dutch ovens on her way up to the Adirondack Mountains to visit with her family and the Boy Scouts. Bill and Pete talked with John from Spencerport about ice fishing, and how easily a person could get started in the sport. John also mentioned theres only 80 some days till deer season! 07/13/08 Outdoor Guys Show Updates

This weeks show was a bit different, as Bill was in studio with his son Sterling, while Pete was "broadcasting" via cellphone from his two boys baseball tournament in Youngstown. Frontier Fred gave the fishing report from Irondequoit Creek. OutdoorGirl Anita called in from a campground in eastern NY. Folks, we dont just talk this stuff, we LIVE it! Bill and Sterling were going to talk about their fishing story from the night before, but they ran out of time. Stay tuned next week to hear that and much more, on Hottalk 1280 WHTK!

Bill and Pete were joined by Pete's daughter Ally and her friend Alyssa Burgio. They took calls and of course, heard the Finger Lakes fishing report from Frontier Fred. There was a few camping stories along with questions from listeners, and then OutdoorGirl Anita called and told the listeners about two types of backpacks before telling Mike Whittimore that next week she plans to tell him about dutch oven cooking. Alyssa described wake surfing with her family, and even got to joke about her dad's fishing "prowess"! The OutdoorGuys, Pete and Bill, along with Mike at the controls, were up and ready to go this morning. The Guys did some outdoor news and also talked about open fire laws for the hot topic, no pun intended. Lots of calls this week, and they tried to catch some of them as best they could. Pete and Bill had a fun show, starting with news around the globe. Freddy did his turkey call and fishing report, all fishing is getting good right now. Pete and Bill exchanged fishing stories and OutdoorGirl Anita called and told us about toad houses for the garden. The Guys' buddy Ron Boyce called about the Avon Anglers event today at Powder Mills Park for the kids. In the last segment, the Guys talked about some backpacking terms, and Pete and Bill's hot topic to debate was moving the spring turkey season back a couple weeks. 05/03/08 Outdoor Guys Show UpdatesPete and Bill started out the show with a new intro, followed by a new segment they've yet to name, lol, they're referring to it as "around the world" for now. Topics from the outdoors like record catches, or anything outdoors and interesting is game. Frontier Fred called with a super quick fishing report before continuing after a turkey he had gobbling and OutdoorGirl Anita spoke about bluebird boxes. Pete talked about his experience with his son TJ on the youth turkey hunt and Bill mentioned going to see Paul Schnell and Liberty the bald eagle. There were lots of calls, and Mike and the Guys were sorry they couldnt get to them all, but feel free to call again next week at the WHAM studios at 222-1180. Thanks!
